I was listening to the Pete Roseburg show last night, because he does have some very cool conversations and he is down with the whole gay people have sex and who cares thing, and they were talking about the ridiculousness of it all. Then this morning the AFA (please God smite them) was talking about it, in there oh so subtle way of Christianity is the dominate religion so fuck everyone else. Its so hard to tap dance around this holiday season without saying the wrong thing and I am not happy with the happy holiday thing. In my mind, which if you have ever read my rantings you know by now it's a scary dirty place, if I say Merry Christmas to someone who doesn't celebrate my holiday, then they come back with a Happy Chanukah or Happy Kwanzaa. Why does there need to this division? Part of the problem i think is that Christmas has become a secular holiday to many, myself 90% included, and Chanukah hasn't. I may be WAY off here since I don't celebrate Chanukah but that's what it seems. But the tree in Rockefeller Square is a Christmas Tree. The National Tree is a Christmas Tree that is right next to the National Mennorah. Why is there such a problem in recongizing that people celebrate how and what they want and we should leave that alone and concentrating our personal holidays.
