July 24, 2001 Well, things are getting a little back to normal in some respects as they go to hell in a hurry in others. The work trip to New Hampshire was pretty fun though there is absolutely nothing to do in that state. But we drank in the hotel all night in Nashua where there was nothing else to do. I tried to get the guys to go to this strip club, I wish I could remember it...I want to say it rhymed with Snatch Palace or something. Oh well. But the whole thing was progressive and I came away with the knowledge I needed and all seems to be good on that front. Plus the best thing about a business trip is the fact that you can take some time and go to places that you normally wouldn't go to. So I drove up and saw the famous Old Man in the Mountain. It was really a cool site and well worth the hour and a half drive from Nashua. Plus all the little towns along the way were so cute with the little corner stores and the churches and the hot local men. Grrr. Then the last day I was there I got the chance to go to Boston for about 7 hours. I really wish I had had the chance to stay longer as I don't think I had the chance to see all that I wanted to. But I did drive though MIT and walked through Harvard, checked out Boston Commons and went to some Museums. I am the master of cramming things into a short amount of time. One of the funnest things was when I was walking through the Commons, I ran into a production of Twelfth Night, which is the same play that I'm doing right now. It was kinda cool to see how they were doing it and they were totally fucking it up. I really wish i could have seen the whole production instead of some of the rehearsal. But if you are in Boston here is their link to check it out! The Commonwealth Shakespeare Company.
July 10, 2001 So things have been a little strange around here and extremely hectic. I am moving again since, and I think I have mentioned that before, my current roommate who I really like living with, is going to Delaware. Why? Because he doesn't like the city life. And listening to him talk about the new house and the new life style, I can see the appeal. It reminds of this guy I knew once who wanted to open a small theatre in upstate New York and get one of those houses with the walk around porches and the fence and all. God that sounds so nice right now. But the house I'm going to be going into is nice and all but the guy is a little odd and he's charging a lot of money. Sure there is a hot tub and all but still, I feel like I'm paying the entire mortgage. And I can't afford that by any means. So that means in a few months I am gonna have to find another place to live and I'm going to see if I have developed the testicles to get out of here and move to New York or stay in D.C. and trying to by a place. Incentive to stay here is that I'm going to be an uncle soon and I want to see him be born. For July 4th I went to the Jefferson Monument of the D.C. mall with a bunch of friends and watched the fireworks. I will soon have the pictures to put up. |
