wonderful weekend. headed to Ky's after rehearsal on saturday, helped finished cleaning up the basement for the new workout equipment then got dinner and vegged. Did some yardwork on saturday and then some shopping and now back home. it's getting so damn hard to come back 'home' when home is really down in VA. sigh.

got the part of Jesse in Plaze Suite by Neil Simon for the Potomac Theatre Co. It seems to be an interesting part. From what I'm reading I'm just a smarmy guy. i think it's my least fovorite of the three pieces but it will still be fun.

have a pinched nerve in my back/leg that is making it VERY painful to walk. I thought that I had gotten better but a recent walk to the cafeteria proved to be a bad idea. i don't want to have to go to my doctor but if this keeps up I am going to have to try something. I have a heat pad on now that wrapps around my waist making it feel like a burning girdle. I want my 20 year old body back.

has anyone ever tried Ultram ER? I think it's making me loopy at work but I wasn't sure if it was lack of food and work. Just curious what I'm in for. :)

So this is such a wonderful week. All week I have been riding such a high. I almost said 'riding such a ho' but anyway. Tuesday was Ky's screening for the short film he was in called Pilgrims. It was done as part of the JMU Film Class project thingy and man was it good. The film itself was excellent with professional credits, music, acting, pacing..very well done. And it was amazing to see the man I love up there on screen. i was proud. Why does proud seem like the wrong word.

But the day itself chaotic as hell. Since I'm now in rehearsal for Plaza Suite and I had rehearsal tuesday night, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it to Harrisonburg for the screening. About 9:30 pm monday I knew I wanted to make it. I wanted to be supportive and I know how exciting it is to see yourself on the big screen for the first time. What this meant was lots of praying that cops stayed the hell away from me. I got to work at about 7:30, left here at noon, got to Ky's in Madison at 2, left there around 2:45, got to Harrisonburg by 3:50, saw the film before his (which sucked) and his film (which rocked), jumped back in the car and gassed up and hit the rode at 5:20 in Harrisonburg and made it to Potomac MD by 7:20. Had a great rehearsal and went home and fell into bed.

It was such a great day. And rehearsal is going great. The 48Hour film is this weekend and I can't wait!

I think the ultram is working now. hhehehehehehehee

my god it's may. it just hit me.

still loopy as hell but feeeeeeeeeeeling good.

Is there anyone out there that would like a small part in Plaze Suite? It has to be a man, because he's a groom, and youngish, like early 20's. We dont have someone yet and they have therole of waiter in the first act and the role of groom in the third. Small parts but if anyone is interested, please let me know. Thanks.

Another 48 hour film project is done. At time I feel guilty for not doing more. All I do is sit there and act and I really appreciate Jackson and Adam and Kelley and everyone who spends the sleepless hours getting the thing written and edited and cut and burned. Cheers to you all.

That being said it was a blast. Getting together with the usual crew and meeting some new people made the day a blast. There was sugar and laughter and costumes and I know I walked away with some nice memories. I can't wait to see the finished film this friday at the AFI theatre in Silver Spring.

Thanks to Ky for standing beside me while I went off and did the project.

Tonight and tomorrow I have rehearsal the Plaza Suite. Man it feels so good to be acting again. I had really missed it. We are still looking for a young actor to fill some spots. Anyone who would like to do it, let me know.

i'm in pain yet again. now my shoulders hurt. lol probably from a restless sleep or my incredibly bad posture. thankfully I have drugs for other parts of me that are falling apart so that I can feel better. I'm really not a pill popper but then the pain gets to the blinding stage, I want meds.

Super excited for the 48 Hour Movie premiere tonight. I can't wait to see the final product of the weekend.

Ky will be here this weekend for the movie premiere and Madonnarama tomorrow and mother's day on Sunday.

Elizabeth and Stuart are coming down and well. It will be awesome to see the two of them.

In other news, been feeling decidedly unposty recently. Something in me has been off. Ky said it best today when he said I was emotionally here but not mentally here. I think it's just one of those moments where all thought and reason and stuff are bubbling to the surface and I turn into a flaky ball of uncontrolled ambivalence and malaise. It will pop and I will back to normal soon.

updated my homepage so that all the journal section is correct.

I will be upload more pictures and stuff soon. I find that working on my piece o' crap homepage is a way to focus on something when i feel scattered. I will hopefully have my Roller Coaster page up but it may have to wait until after our trip to DollyWood!!!!!

Another wonderful weekend. They seems to get progressively better and better. And that's a good thing.

In my tired state let me try and recount the highlights:

Friday: I worked. Met up with Ky at my house. We headed to Silver Spring for the Premiere of out 48 Hour Film Project entry. It was the first time seeing the completed film and I am very happy the final production. I laughed out loud quite a few times. Overall the entries were all very good. Well okay some were krap but there were some that were outstanding. It's amazing that all the participants get all the dialog and shooting done is such a short amount of time.

saturday: I went to rehearsal and got some really fine work done on Plaza Suite. Still not my favorite Neil Simon piece but it's me on stage and that's fine with me. Hung with ky before heading to E's house for champers and prep for Madonnarama. We all got all glittered up and fancy. I think it's hot that my bf looks fucking sexy in makeup. :) Had a blast at the very very packed club dancing with Matty and briefly seeing Ed and Lynn. We wrapped the evening by 3am and lumbered home. Good lord that much alcohol and dancing and excitement certainly does things to a 35 year old body.

sunday: we took my mom to Irish Inn at Glen Echo and had a wonderful brunch. I love my family because there really isn't anything that we don't talk about or things we don't cover. Especially with my mom and myself. And brining Ky into the mix is a nice trifecta of communication and understanding. It was a joyous tear filled time. Back to the house and gardening and the documentary on the Theremin. The cartoon sundays over at elizabeth's house.

overall a very good weekend. I am tired beyond all recognition but since 'this is absolutely the last time' madonnarama will be at Nations, it was a must.

gttttttttttttttttttt

I have a new addiction. Well besides drinking, smoking, masturbation, boys, girls, tits, cock, ass, legs, feet, hairy chests, gin, chocolate, music, the never ending quest to save my girlfriend, the never ending quest to say my boyfriend, cinnamon ... anything, theatre, fast cars, movies, the quest for a cure for AIDS, more theatre, meeting new people, money and the spending of it, pretty much anything by Apple Computer, history, Shakespeare, king arthur, the quest for fame...among others. It's Who's line is it anyway. It's on usually at 10 on ABC Family and I always laugh my ass off. Its so nice.

You're both energetic, affectionate, and a bit goofy. And neither of you seem to mind very slobbery kisses!

tired and people are bugging me today. my boss is out again so i am in charge for today and tomorrow. I am realizing that there are a lot of people out there that just don't use their heads. They call and ask the question before trying to figure it out. I'm finding it harder and harder (heheh) to hide my 'you're an idiot' tone of voice. Oh well.

Celebrated my friend Leland's birthday last night. Went to his place and hung out with friends and drinks and stuff and had fun. Caught some of American Idol and have no feelings on the outcome at all. I haven't seen enough of the show to know who is the better singer. Incredible marketing machine that is.

This weekend head to NY with Ky to Elizabeth and Stuart. We are very excited about that. I miss E and Stuart is a lot of fun. Plus it's her birthday on Sunday so we are gonna celebrate that. And also hopefully have a change to get to the new apple store in Manhattan. :)

Then weekend after this we head to Dollywood. I frickin can't wait. We have the ultimate gay roadtrip planned with hours and hours of dolly for the 6.5 hour road trip, 9 to 5 for the dvd player along with other Dolly movies.....good god i'm so gay. going to be fun.

then the weekend after that my play starts. i love being busy

2006-05-25 13:39:00

fuck fuck fuck

i can feel it rising and i don't know why I fear it so much. I am getting angry over events in the world. Lord knows there are many issues about Bush and the White House (of lies) but I will let people much more eloquent than myself deal with those issues. In my blog travels today I ran across a blogger that was posting upsetting images in hopes of spurring someone to action. Of course there was the Phelps fuckers who are protesting the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq because he thinks that it's the fact that gays exist is causing the war in Iraq and hence killed these soldiers. Or some crap like that. I am stunned this man is still alive. If I had the means I would kill him myself. But I digress. The other image was of this fat neo-nazi chick holding a sign that says: "I hate faggots, but I love AIDS." Next to her is her monkey boy companion holding a Nazi flag. I sat there staring at this picture, mouth agape for what must have been minutes.

The link to the blog is here: "Difficult post for me to write"

It just makes me wonder if I do enough for my gay community and my gay family. I do the fund raisers and AIDSWalks but I'm still scared as shit to hold Ky's hand in the amusement parks or be overly mushy (well ok, when aren't we overly mushy). I want visibility and yet am afraid to start the fire that I hope will catch on. That is the impetus for the anger today. Intolerance and assholes will probably always be there but if they make a sound, I think it's our job to make a louder one. People will call us fags, call us names, spit on us but we have to go on. Not that I am going to put on a dress, and I wouldn't anyway till i lost a few pounds, and skip down the street but small step at first gain ground too.

My soapbox is getting slippery....

Another exhausting fun weekend.

Drove to NY with Ky (hehe) for Elizabeth's birthday. It was nice to have someone on the ride up and back to make the drive manageable. Although cabin fever did begin to hit Ky more than myself since there were a couple accidents on the way back yesterday. Anyway. We got there and all hugged and vegged for a little bit before taking the subway ('Q is for homo') to Coney Island. Always wanted to go there and it was exactly like I thought it would be. Skanky and wonderful and full of life. Got a chance to ride the Coney Island Cyclone, one of the oldest coasters in the US. Oh my god it was the most painful ride on the planet. Like spine cracking good. But it was sooo worth it. Pictures to be on blackotter.com soon. Then we walked the beach, had an original Nathan's Hotdog and beer, and played some skeeball to win some rubber snakes. Apparently, cause I don't notice this stuff, one of the Russian girls working the toy counter was flirting with me because she kept giving me more and more stickers. Then back to the apartment for food and to watch The Women.

Sunday was up with bagels...which now sounds like some weird jewish pop band. "Hi we're Up with Bagels! and this is our new single, Schmear my Love." Sorry, I'm tired. So we got on the subway and headed into Manhattan for Dim Sum which was wonderful! Then to The Strand to look at books and Union Square and Barnes and Nobel and Time Square and ... well damn we covered a lot of ground. It was fantastic. I think she had a nice time for her birthday and I know we had a good time being in NY again. Sigh.

Oh yeah, and we went to the Apple store on 59th. Good lord it's a nice structure. Very minimalist, as all apple store are and this beautiful gleaming cube above ground. Very nice.

Then we met up with Frank Miller for a beer and headed back to the Apt for cake that Stuart made. it was tasty!! Then sleep. Woke up, had bagels played some Guitar Hero and back home. 3 small pics below.
